I've never been much of a reader, but I've always loved writing. I know that sounds a little strange.
My love of writing began a long time ago in my elementary school days. As a kid, I was encouraged to be as creative as possible in my writing assignments. That carried over into my high school years where I focused my free time on writing poetry. One poem was even published in my high school yearbook. By the time I reached university, I had written numerous poems and short stories. However, my time was then spent studying and writing theses.
I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree specializing in astrophysics. Entering the workforce, I eventually found myself working as a systems analyst. Though professionally I spend my days writing technical documents and training manuals, my passion still lies in creative writing. My interests also include playing guitar, latin dance, cooking, baseball, and most recently, photography.
I have a myriad of ideas all scribbled down on little pieces of scrap paper that litter my desk. Some are even stuffed into my filing cabinet and others were tossed into storage bins. Admittedly, I am a bit of a pack-rat but good or bad, I don't believe in tossing away ideas. Perhaps one of these days, I will finish them all :)
